Abstract

The heap of organic waste which is very significant is a problem for the government and the people of Kota Padang. This problem can be minimized in various ways, one of which is by turning organic waste into an Eco-Enzyme. This liquid has various benefits for households, agriculture, livestock and the environment and even human health. The making of Eco-Enzyme was carried out by the Universitas  Bung Hatta Team with PKK Keluarahan Ulak Karang on April 12, 2022. This activity was attended by 30 PKK members with an agenda of explaining the uses and benefits of Eco-Enzyme and continued with the manufacture of Eco-Enzyme based on fruits peels and vegetables. By using 4.5 kg of organic waste, 1.5 kg of palm sugar and other ingredients, 16 liters of Eco-Enzyme are produced. This liquid can be used as floor cleaning fluid and liquid fertilizer for plants so that it can save household expenses. In addition, Eco-Enzyme fluids can be packaged and marketed to the public.
